Poppy Appeal

The Poppy Appeal will be starting back after half term. Prefects will be coming around to tutor groups in the mornings, giving you the chance to donate loose change for a poppy or a wristband (suggested donation £1).

Not only does wearing a poppy show our solidarity on Remembrance Day (11th November), all funds raised will go towards the Royal British Legion. This is the country's largest Armed Forces charity and they have provided support for ex-service personnel and their families since 1921. More about the charity can be found on their website: https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/

As well as raising money for a brilliant cause, the year group who raise the most money will get their year engraved on the Poppy Shield. Previously, the Year 7s have donated most generously, so they're the ones to beat! There will also be a prize for the prefects assigned to that year group.

Have a lovely half term and we look forward to seeing you wearing your poppies with pride.
